In my opinion Piqué is a true culé … from is heart. That is why he reacts the way he does: it is not to disrespect anyone … I am culé and I understand him completely … sometimes I make similar comments in home. (AND HE NAILED THE PRESS CONFERENCE BY THE WAY!)

zia-adira:

Oh I completely agree with you and him. As a Culé, I understand the passion behind his every word. There is simply too much….sensitivity in football. Even if you do not agree with his words, don’t act like a dumbass. Don’t degrade him and cause more trouble because your little ego’s were hurt. His views and his opinions are his own, and he is allowed to express them HOWEVER the hell he wants. Madridistas obviously don’t like his words, how could they? But that doesn’t justify booing him and causing more tension in the NT, where some RM players and some Barça players come together to represent SPAIN. It is the stupidest shit I have ever witnessed, and I felt dumber just hearing those fans whistle at Geri. If you cheer on Spain, YOU CHEER ON SPAIN, NOT REAL MADRID. CLUB AND NT SHOULD BE SEPARATE, ALWAYS.

That’s all.

Barcelona defender Pique defends referees despite four-match ban

ians-in-yahoopartner:

Barcelona, Aug 25 (IANS) Spanish champions FC Barcelona’s defender Gerard Pique may be serving a four-game ban following his sending off in Spanish Super Cup, but defended the supervision standards of the Spanish referees on Tuesday.

Pique was sent off for insulting the assistant referee of Velasco Carballo, a man who has sent him off before and who Pique then accused of having acted with pre-meditation, reports Xinhua.

However when appearing at a publicity event, he insisted, “whether or not Barcelona win the league this season doesn’t depend on the referees. Referees are 100 percent impartial.”

He expressed the hope that his suspension would be reduced.

“I am optimistic and I hope it is reduced, because it is hard to not be able to help the team,” he said, adding that even if he was not able to play, “there is a team and it is wrong to say we don’t have enough depth.”

Meanwhile FC Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu rejected media reports that said English giants Manchester United were preparing a bid worth a total of 240 million pounds ($378.6 million) in order to try and lure Brazilian ace Neymar from Barcelona.

“He is young and we want him to stay here and to retire at the club,” said Bartomeu, who added that the club would start contract discussions with the Brazilian in the coming months.

How is it appropriate to red card a player for verbal action and ignore physical action? What I mean by this is: why red card a player for verbally attacking and then barely pay attention to REAL tackles and REAL challenges that can easily ruin a players career?
How?
When you’re a referee, its possible.
That’s how.
