Since the concert season is going to start soon:
You Know It’s A Concert When…
- “Can you help me tie my bow tie/scarf?” “Are you kidding? I can’t even button my cuffs properly”
- At least one person has fallen running around. Bonus points if they fell off stage
- The violins have formed a study group and are doing homework backstage together
- Some of the winds are forming a cult as a last ditch effort to not fail
- One kid has all the food and has now made 18 new friends by giving away cheez-its
- “I’m nervous. I forgot my music at home”
- CRAZY CONDUCTOR MODE
- A folder just gives up on life and dumps all the sheet music it was holding on stage
- “Umm. This is not where we’re supposed to sit. We’re not even on the correct side of the stage”
- During the softest part of a slow piece, when there is no percussion, all the percussion equipment decides to fall
- 2 HOUR LONG DRESS REHEARSALS
- “Of course I know where I’m going, this venue is my home now; we’re here every week”
- Everything goes perfectly in rehearsals and then every section misses their entrance during concert
