If a female character kicks ass, she’s overpowered. If a female character can’t defend herself, she’s unnecessary. If a female character acts nice, she’s boring. If a female character acts mean, she’s a bitch. If a female character shows no emotion, she’s heartless. If a female character shows emotion, she’s weak. What can a female character do without being criticized mercilessly?

I love United, I really do, even after performances like this but we’ve progressed so much defensively, and it’s now one of our strengths that I can honestly see us progressing in our attacking positions and we’ll be golden. And in reality having a strong and solid defense is really important, strikers win games defenses win titles, so I’m glad thats sorted first. And it is agonizing to see us playing like this but let’s be optimistic a bit. We’re getting there, we’re improving.

I understand completely where you’re coming from, anon, we have come a long way. I just fundamentally disagree with the way LVG wants to play football. He wants to make us into a defensive (frankly boring) side, the same as he did with Bayern and yeah, that will win you titles but it’s not the United way – and that’s what I prefer. It’s completely up to you what you prefer and if we do win silverware and titles with him I’ll be thankful, I just don’t like how he wants to play football.

his way of football isn’t getting us 3 points in matches, which is what we need if we are to challenge for trophies.
