they took it away because he came up with a seemingly plausible theory?
They took it away because other scientists have been unable to reproduce his results, his results were made up, he didn’t even get approved by an ethics committee, and now he’s risking the health and lives of a whole bunch of people
It’s not just that he came to incorrect conclusions, he falsified data on purpose, apparently because he had patented a related medical test and stood to make a lot of money off people using his test instead of vaccinating.
It’s crazy how this one person, in a study of only twelve children, gained so much traction in the world. He put this lie out there—and it was a lie, not just interpreting data incorrectly—and now it doesn’t even matter that he’s been proven totally false. Years of effort to reestablish the truth can’t undo the lie once it’s out there in the world. Hundreds of thousands of people believe that lie, and actual children are getting sick and dying because of it.
This is a really troubling aspect of how human minds work, and it’s something conservative politicians take advantage of on a regular basis. If you just say that “well over 90% of what Planned Parenthood does“ is provide abortions, it doesn’t matter how often people recite the objective truth that abortions are a tiny fraction of Planned Parenthood services. You can say the truth 1000 times for every one time the lie is repeated, and thousands of people will still trust the lie.

What about all the kids that had their lives ruined by narcolepsy, that they developed as a direct result of the swine flu vaccine?
Thats actually a really interesting and complicated case. One of the swine flu vaccines that was widely used in Europe does appear to correlate strongly with narcolepsy. However, other swine flu vaccines used else where did not AND a study in China found that getting the infection (not the vaccine) had a huge correlation with narcolepsy. Scientists are still looking into what happened in this specific case.
But 1 it has nothing to do with autism and 2 im still gonna say narcolepsy is better than death.
Personally I haven’t had any vaccines, and I am thankful, because personally I do not have the trust required to have stuff injected into me that the person can’t explain the ingredients to me and I have seen the possible side effects from. At the end of the day it’s that person’s decision, when they understand, like circumcisum.
You could kill the children around you because of your ignorance. I hope you realize that. Because you refuse to do research or trust your doctor, you could kill someone.
If there were an iminant threat to a child around me or myself, I would take a vaccine, but there isn’t where I live, therefore I don’t see it necessary to put them through something without their consent or full understanding.
Unless you live in a cave and never venture out, then you are a threat to anyone around you who cant be vaccinated due to age or immuno compromised status. Good fucking job.

Diseases like the ones people are being vaccinated against killed tens of millions in the past- the Black Plague killing about a quarter of the population of Europe, the slew of plagues the Europeans brought with them to the Americas and which annihilated the indigenous peoples, sometimes up to 90% of a given population- those are pretty god damn dangerous.
Vaccinate you children, you god damn animals.
