*insert The Final Countdown here*

Given that I’m one of the minors that ~must be protected~ and thus could never view any unsafe content, I doubt I’ll be deleted, but you never know how badly the bots are fucking up at this point. So anyway…

I’m currently in the process of exporting my blog as an html file and to my WordPress account. Once the latter process is finished, it should be at (https://)captainbubblebath(.)home(.)blog

And obviously, if nothing happens to me, I won’t delete. I’ve had this blog for 3 years now, I’ll be damned if I’m letting it go. I will be participating in tomorrow’s boycott though, so don’t expect any activity from me on here until Tuesday. May post something on WordPress so y’all know I’m still alive.

This is honestly my most active social media account, so I have little options to communicate with anyone online. I do have WhatsApp tho, so just pm me if you want it. I’m also contemplating twitter, but still not sure.

M’kay? M’kay. That’s that. Good luck to everyone, don’t die please. I’ll see you on the other side.

Edit: Heyo! Still alive! Although I think my tumblr is as well. Won’t know for sure until tomorrow though.

So, I don’t normally write my own political pieces on this blog, but I figured now is as good a time as ever to express myself.

I am so proud of everyone involved.

I doubt there’s ever been such a massive mobilization effort, all in the name of democracy. I know we aren’t *unique* for being a democracy (obviously), but it’s still a blessing to live where the people have the power to choose a leader. And even though I felt frustration at being unable to vote myself, I was still proud to see the encouragement, spreading of information, for all of those that can. I don’t think such a thing would be achievable without the power of communication that the internet (and social media) provides. We came together as a positive force.

And yeah, people are upset that the democrats didn’t win both the Senate and HoR, but the current result was predicted as such anyway. Not to mention that these races were close, decided by a few thousand votes. It’s an encouraging sign for the people; in the words of some ubiquitous proverb, “I will not accept the things I cannot change. I will change the things I cannot accept.”

And thanks to everyone who wanted change, and who took action to create it, we now have a more diverse government, one that is more truly representing the people.

So from someone who had to sit back and watch, thank you all for standing up for change. And I can’t wait to join you in 2020.
