there’s nothing wrong with admitting you were once toxic.

there’s nothing wrong with admitting you made a couple people feel like shit.

there’s nothing wrong with admitting you fucked up and were horribly arrogant and parasitic.

there’s nothing wrong with admitting you did anyone wrong, especially if you’ve learned from it. If you’re humble enough to admit it, I guarentee there’s a bit of a good person inside of you.

On the other end of the spectrum, there is something very wrong with refusing to grow as a person. There is something wrong with point blank refusing to acknowledge that you have ever done anything wrong. That logic is for none but children and fools.

Yes. Yes to all of this.

just because you might be slower to learn things or it’s harder for you to understand things does not mean you’re stupid and it does not mean you’ll never be able to get it. Sometimes it just means you’re going about it wrong, maybe you can’t learn like the rest of your class from a textbook, maybe you need someone reading it to you for you to be able to understand. Or maybe it just takes more practice. Whatever you do, don’t give up, you will get there. I believe in you, granted it might take a little longer, but it’s so worth it. Don’t give up, you’ve got this.

acne is normal. birthmarks are normal. scars are normal. freckles are normal. cellulite is normal. blackheads are normal. body hair is normal. pimples are normal. fat is normal. bumps are normal. keratosis pilaris is normal. none of these are things to be ashamed of or embarrassed by because everyone has them. it’s okay.

Being a good person is a choice. Don’t let people fool you into believing that truly good people never have bad thoughts, are never tempted by the easier path, by the low road, never mess up or act out selfishly. Never believe a person can be good without making a conscious effort.

Every single time you do something good, you’ve made a decision to make the world a little brighter.

Goodness is not an inherent trait, it is a choice. Keep making it! I see you, I’m proud of you, and I’m rooting for you!

I like this a lot better than those posts that are just “being good is easy just do it”. I’m basically good; that doesn’t mean it’s easy for me, and the fact it’s hard for me doesn’t change that.

note to self: glowing up doesn’t necessarily always mean looking cute as hell. glowing up also means becoming the best version of yourself. cut out the toxic people in your life, remember to study well, becoming more open minded, taking care of yourself physically and mentally (!!!), be nice. what benefit is there in bringing someone down when you can be one of the reasons why they smile?
