Still can’t believe we won from Real Madrid with 0-4 in Bernabeu.
Today you saw the difference between a team and a bunch of (great) players in one team.
We all did so great. Every player performed at another level tonight: The magic of El Clásico.
Bravo: was like a damn octopus or something saving every ball on goal.
Roberto: was amazing once again. It’s insane how well he’s doing no matter what position he’s playing at.
Suarez: What a striker. Maybe he should have scored one more, but two against Real Madrid is nothing to complain about.
Iniesta: Damnnn. Proving everyone he still got it. Fire.
Pique: Still booed. Was expected especially against Real, but did great. Good, solid performance.
Messi: Return of the king. I was so afraid he would be tackled min 1 and then off injured again but luckily that didn’t happen. Still after not playing for so long he showed us some classic Leo magic. Missed that.
Neymar: Ney, my happy Ney. Did so well. The Real player that had to defend him didn’t know how to do it. His assist to Iniesta was insanely good and he scored once again. He’s making an end to the top 3 discussion; maybe he should be No 2 now. And thank god that Isco tackle didn’t injure him. But he’s going to feel that tackle tonight/tomorrow. [21/11/‘15]
The product of the Barça youth system returned to the same stadium where he made his Champions League debut in 2010-11. He’s been impressive all season, while tonight he was simply outstanding, especially in the move that led to the opening goal. Another of Sergi Roberto’s finest qualities is his ability to shine in a variety of different positions, something Luis Enrique highlighted in his post-match press conference.
Luis Suárez
The Uruguayan has an amazing 15 goals in 19 games this season, and it was he who ended Keylor Navas’ten-month unbeaten streak at the Bernabéu, which dated all the way back to last January 15 and the Copa del Rey match with Atlético Madrid. Suárez topped off a magnificent evening with the fourth goal as well.
Neymar Jr.
The Brazilian is the top goalscorer in the league and took his season’s tally to twelve with his goal against Real Madrid tonight. He owned his side of the field and distributed key passes wherever he trod, including an absolutely delightful piece of skill to set up Iniesta for goal number three. He’s now scored three goals in five Clásico appearances.
The midfield
Rakitic managed to recover in time and was stunning in the middle of park. Sergio Busquets showed why people are saying he’s the best midfielder in the world right now, while Andrés Iniesta displayed the same elegance and intelligence on the field that we have grown so used to seeing. And he topped off his evening with a goal that will be remembered for many years to come.
Clean sheet
Barça have not conceded a goal since Eibar took the lead at the Camp Nou after nine minutes on October 25. They’ve played 531 minutes of football in three different competitions since then and have looked rock solid all the way. Bravo was stunning in the Clásico on Saturday evening with three spectacular saves to deny Cristiano Ronaldo, James and Benzema.
